Little by little I am hating this movement less. I still hate it, though.

Drew Williams is memorizing When the Bow Breaks. And a-bloggin' about it here. He memorized the really really hard last movement, and has memorized the first movement and part of the second.

Just received the recording today of last October's NEPhil performance of my fourth symphony. Here's the slow movement, whose point is to quote the Urlicht movement of Mahler 2.



And here's the finale, which quotes the outer movements of Mozart's 40th.
